Jeff is a true professional and has done numerous jobs for us always to highest standard, he has also responded promptly in an emergency when needed. To cap this off, he is a friendly and genuinely nice guy.Verified reviewerJob location: GU1510 Fitted and external socket and secuirty camera.

The first time I have used Checkatrade. A possible safety problem, sent out to three companies and Jeff Patrick the only one to reply. On reading I would be at home, arranged a time and came. He had excellent advice and quickly ensured the work was completed. If I have any further electrical requirements I will call him first.Verified reviewerJob location: GU1910 Replacement of a ceiling light and rose.

Heard from Jeff very quickly. He quoted a price, which I accepted, and agreed to call the following morning at 09.00. Jeff was on time, polite, presentable and carried out the work to a good standard. I am very pleased with the work done and would not hesitate in calling him to carry out further works.Verified reviewerJob location: GU1510 Check wiring for fridge and install socket. Jeff was thorough and punctual and actually found some issues with the house and recommended getting an EICR report from someone as he doesn’t do those. Was very helpful and informative.Verified reviewerJob location: GU1910 LIGHT SWITCH REPLACEMENT

I started in the electrical industry straight from school in 1986, serving a 5 year apprenticeship, which included 3 years at college for one day a week, culminating in achieving my City & Guilds qualifications for the 15th edition of BS7671 electrical wiring regulations.
Throughout my apprenticeship I was guided by men who already had many years experience within the industry, and back then firms did not seem in such a rush to get things done, so I was able to try and try again until I had mastered the job which had been set for me.
At eighteen I was selected for the maintenance team at the 1988 Farnborough air show, which was very exciting.
I decided to go self-employed quite quickly, and mainly sub-contracted to firms so that I could continue learning. By the age of 23 I was employing up to six men (on a self-employed basis) and carrying out quite substantial works alongside all my domestic rewires etc. For example, we rewired British Telecom' s head offices in Reading.
I also carried out all the electrical maintenance for several local factories; including Dennis Specialist Vehicles (they're the fire engine people) and Dzus Fasteners in Farnham. The domestic works continued to come in thick and fast keeping me and my employee at the time (Martin) very busy.
In 1998 I returned to college and passed the exam for the newly published 16th edition of BS7671 electrical wiring regulations.
In 2000 we completed the major refurbishment of two factories for the Camberley based Farnborough Metal Finishing, and I received news that I had been granted permission to work in Australia. I went there specifically to catch the tail end of the Olympic games works, mainly maintenance at that late stage, but I also set up as self-employed again and gained many interesting contracts, (Toni & Guy hair salon fit outs, and large new build houses) for example. We ended up staying in Australia for six years, returning in 2006.
When I returned, I almost immediately set up Jeff Patrick Electrical and quickly gained membership to the NICEIC as a qualified supervisor, allowing me to self-certify my work under Part P of the building regulations.
In 2008, I returned to college and passed the exams for the newly published 17th edition of BS7671 electrical wiring regulations.
In January 2019 I achieved a 95% pass mark in the exam for the newly published 18th edition of BS7671 electrical wiring regulations.
I now prefer to concentrate my time on domestic works, and as you will hopefully see from my customer feedback reviews I take great pride in my work.
Many thanks for looking at my pages, and don't forget to check out my website for lots of useful information.
