  Door adjustment

  While we were very happy with the initial work which was a 10 rating getting the door adjusted due to painting/swelling has been difficult and time consuming. Since July there has been numerous "WhatsApp" message that have taken days to be answered. Out of these three dates have been made for the work to be carried out. Each I have arranged to be at the property and all of these have been a "no show" without any notice causing considerable inconvenience/hours wasted. Chasing "WhatsApp" on the day unanswered. Just a quick message saying the work couldn't be carried out that would have sufficed.

  Removal of old and damaged vinyl flooring and decaying under-flooring, and Install new flooring.

  James was very knowledgable and solution oriented, and put my mind at ease that my job was salvageable before he got started. He was punctual, in good spirits, works fast and is easy to work with.   Panelling and storage cupboards

  James was very efficient and professional in the work he carried out. We were really impressed with the ideas that he came up with as we had an awkward space for him to work with. The end result was great and lots of space and storage created

  New back door and frame. Also a new lock on external door.

  James was quick to respond to request to quote and provide quotation promptly with a competitive price. On the day turned up on time, completed the work efficiently and professionally. Would be my first port of call for all future carpenter work I may require.

  Fitted shelving, new floor, new skirting, fireplace removal

  We got a range of quotes before picking James based on the photos and reviews here, his competitive pricing and responsiveness. I had never used checkatrade so was unsure of what to expect. We are so glad we chose James. He is the epitome of a professional and high quality tradesperson and the work looks better than we ever imagined it could. We are over the moon.   Reinforcing a wall where there was cracking

  Work was carried out promptly, with a team of three on one day, 100% satisfactorily in terms of quality of workmanship and cleanly (with good efforts being made to clear up m as etc)
