  500 year old floorboards transformed

  I can’t recommend James highly enough. Having acquired a Grade 2 listed cottage, the original pine floorboards and staircase required a substantial amount of work. Having contacted 5 companies to obtained quotes, James immediately impressed when he visited. He listened carefully to all my concerns, answering my questions and discussing the overall condition of each room, what would be required, various differences in sanding, sealing and types of finishes available. His knowledge and experience is excellent, more so his love of wood and old buildings. A truly exceptional service ……

  floorboard restoration

  James and Luke sincerely performed a miracle on my grimy old Victorian floorboards (see before and after photos for definitive proof). James went above and beyond when it came to choosing reclaimed boards to replace any that were too worn out or misshapen, and was very patient when I had a crisis of confidence in my original choice of stain. He answered all of my questions and even gave me other advice on renovations. There were no surprises in terms of costings, and they completed the job in the agreed time, with no dust or mess anywhere. My floorboards are transformed, and transcendent!

  Renovating Victorian pine floorboards

  We highly recommend this company after having them renovate some of our Victorian pine floorboards. James was really informative and not pushy at all when he visited to provide his quote. Holly has been helpful throughout over e-mail. James and Luke were friendly as well as professional - a pleasure to have in our home for 2 days. They worked wonders on our floors and we are so, so happy with the outcome. Dust-free sanding, as promised, and a bit of patching in with some reclaimed wood.
