  Joe and his team fitted a new felt roof and 4 new sky lights. I can thoroughly recommend them 100%. Excellent service from the first quote to completion . Very prompt and precise communication and the work was completed on schedule as promised (by a very friendly team). Will be asking them back to do more work next year.

  Building and carpentry work carried out during October 2025

  This firm was selected to carry out a difficult job of installing a bespoke made heavy oak stable door complete supplied by me. To do this work the removal of an existing concrete panel was required. All this work was done extremely well with the expertise of a very good carpenter who is employed by Joe James for roofing and all kinds of wood work. I have used Joe James and sons for many years doing roof work fixing and painting chimneys. and are always willing to discuss issues about work needed to ensure a good result. The after sales service is second to none.

  New roof to avoid leaks

  We recently hired Joe for two roof repairs, and from start to finish, the service was outstanding. Joe was honest and professional, he showed us that we actually needed a new roof rather than just patch repairs, and we’re so glad we listened. The whole process was smooth and efficient: scaffolding and work complete between Thursday and Friday without any delays. The team worked hard, kept everything tidy, and the new roof looks fantastic.
