Jake Smith Garden and Landscapes LTD

Hello, my name is Jake and in October 2025 I decided to leave my career in recruitment of 10yrs to set up as a Gardener and Landscaper.

I live in Carlton, Notts and will look at any work in Nottinghamshire and surrounding counties.

I currently work by myself for my own company and will consider any work in your garden from simple lawn care to ivy removal to hard landscaping like decking and patios.

My favourite jobs are gardens that are completely overrun - being honest they create the best before and after photos.

But that isn't to say I don't already love a well-maintained garden where the customer needs half a day a week to keep it in shape, maybe due to work commitments or age.

One of my closest friends owns a fencing and tree care business so between us can cover anything in your garden.

All quotation is free, and I always insist on meeting the customer before quoting as I feel it helps us get a better idea of how each other speak/communicate - from my 10yrs in recruitment and sending lots of emails.

I know full-well that words on a screen and be interpreted in a tone they weren't intended.

So far, the jobs I have carried out have all received good feedback from customers and I take great pride in providing a quality service - most of the time this is down to simple communication, we all know the "tradey" stereotype who doesn't turn or is late with no reason given which can cause great annoyance, especially if you've taken time away from work to meet them - for me, transparency is key
