  Full bathroom renovation plus other renovation work in the property

  We initially contacted Iliyan for a full bathroom renovation that included replacement of floor and ceiling boards due to water damage, replastering, laying tiles and installation of new bathroom fittings. His quote was very competitive and the project then extended to repainting all room interiors and laying new laminate flooring in multiple rooms. All works were conducted to a high standard and we are overall very satisfied with his work. Iliyan recommended necessary improvements that we didn't know to specify, and was receptive to all feedback to ensure our standards were met.

  Radiator removal and installation

  Removal of old 1970s radiators & installation of new type 22 radiators in the hallway, bedroom & office. There were some minor hiccups due to old plumbing but Iliyan was very good at problem solving and able to connect the new radiators to the old pipes. As we are decorating the rooms, he suggested that he gives us time to paint the wall behind the radiators before installing the new ones, allowing for a cleaner finish. Iliyan was diligent to ensure the radiators in the whole house were in perfect working order before he left. Will definitely be using him again for future work. A+++

  Complete bathroom overhaul

  Despite short notice and narrow time frame Iliyan managed to complete punctually. He listened to our needs & plan and delivered fully to our expectation. Porcelain tiles and natural stone, new bath tub, toilet, plumbing and radiator. It was always visible that he has a lot of experience with this type of work and all required tools at hand. In cases he came up with additional improvements (eg hot water for the toilet sink) Great advantage that he lives local, so we could arrange the alignment meeting around our busy work schedule.   Refit of En Suite

  Ilyan was professional and worked very hard, so that each day there was clear and definite progress. Ilyan is easy to work with, he doesn’t sit around drinking tea/coffee or chit chatting, instead he focuses on the task and gets it done. He obviously had a plan in mind for each day, which meant we never felt like a day was wasted. The work was completed to a high standard and he has been attentive in after care, ensuring that we are happy with the result. In particular I commend Ilyan on his tiling skills; as you’ll see from the photos the work was excellent. Would recommend.

  Poor overall completion of work.

  Overall, the attention to detail and quality of work were poor. The quality of his grouting was poor - he did not entirely remove all the previous grouting. He installed a toilet roll holder and this was fitted poorly and loosely. The quality or skimming was poor - the paint was not sanded down correctly before reapplying. A new door lock was installed but was not done so properly as it currently does not lock. No testing. Poor cleanliness/aftercare - paint drops on our carpet. New bathroom sink & unit and toilet installation were fine though.
