    Another great job!

    Ian and Cam replaced a very old timber ramp in our garden. They worked conscientiously and carefully to remove the old ramp and install the new one. They worked steadily despite some uncomfortable weather. They offered useful advice and kept us in the loop about how things were going. They had built a patio and a pergola for us previously and it was our experience of their dependable workmanship then that decided us to go with Ian again, although their quote was not the lowest that we received. Looking at the completed ramp, we are pleased that we did. Once more, a great job.

    Front and Back Garden Re-design & Transformation

    Ian & Cam have transformed my front and back garden, from a blank canvas Ian has designed both gardens taking into consideration ideas and items that I wanted included. The workmanship is exceptional and the finish to the natural stone walling and patio is amazing. Ian & Cam allowed me to tweak things and change things as the work progressed and nothing was too much trouble for them. I was glad that they checked in with me throughout the work before committing to a particular job. The quality of materials that have been used is outstanding especially the turf. Overall I would highly recommend.

    Exceptional quality. Highly reliable.

    Superb service. We had a large patio area (built approx 10m by 6m) with Ian and Cam. A large assignment of around 2 weeks. The end product is great. Throughout we were kept up to date with progress. The guys were 100% self sufficient. They worked through some of the hottest UK weather on our patio. They did an amazing job. We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail. The precision alignment and cut on the paving is great. We also had some large drain covers and those have been hidden away with recessed paving. .thoroughly recommend IJ Street for patio / paving.

    Garden transformation

    Ian and Cam were brilliant – clear communication, quick and efficient, and a pleasure to have around. They transformed our mud patch into a smart, low-maintenance slate garden with raised beds. Knowledgeable, friendly, and tidy throughout – highly recommended!

    Small back garden makeover

    Our back garden is tiny and we wanted it to do a lot of different things. Ian took our initial discussions and turned it into a stylish plan that incorporated the elements we wanted Throughout, Ian and Cam's workspace was kept really tidy, a problem with outsourced planters was handled well even though it caused them delays. We were consulted where necessary otherwise they have the know-how to just get on with it. There was a high level of attention to detail in the execution, It is a lovely tranquil space, completely transformed. Good communication, highly recommend.

    New patio

    We had a new patio installed. The design was proposed to us, which was appreciated as we were working with a blank canvas. The quality of the work was outstanding and from start to finish the service was excellent. Start time was as stated in the first quote with regular communication throughout. We never felt intruded by their work and they kept us up to date throughout the project. Highly recommend to anyone looking to enhance their home with a beautiful new patio!

IJ Street Garden Design and Construction has been trading since 1996. Prior to this, I studied at Sparsholt College for 3 years, gaining a National Certificate and National Diploma in Horticulture. As a result of this, not only am I qualified and experienced in garden design and construction, but I also have experience with plants and planting schemes.

I undertake all aspects on landscaping, including garden designs, from planting plans and hard landscaping plans to full garden designs and undertake constructional works, such as patios, paths, pergolas, ponds, lawns, walls, fencing and more - please see my website for work galleries... www.ijstreet.co.uk

I have always adopted a professional approach to the work I undertake, however, I feel that I go one step further, and consider, 'what would I expect if I was paying for the work?'. This approach often results in the work taking slightly longer, however, it also results in greater detail to the finishing touches. I am a registered and vetted by Hampshire County Council, on their 'Buy With Confidence' scheme.

Although most of my work is much the same as other landscapers, I have been known to take on the more adventurous or challenging contracts that other companies, although invited, have not even quoted for, which has opened up many more opportunities to me and I have gained valuable experience through them.

I have terraced a hill side, dismantled and filled in a swimming pool to create a garden, created a 'temporary' garden over a weekend, only to be removed 4 weeks later, and made ponds large enough to swim in.

As with many families, there can be circumstances that restrict what can be done in a garden, or considerations that need to be taken into account and my family is no different. As a result of this and the insights I have gained, I have been able to create gardens for many different people, from those with children to the elderly, people with varying disabilities, to those that want something modern to entertain in, gardens to grow fruit and vegetables in to formal gardens.
