My initial assumption was that the oak floor needed sanding. However, on examination Howard Naish said it only needed a very light sanding (no dust!) and some lacquer. How many companies talk their clients into spending less money? The work itself was carried out to a high standard. No hesitation in recommending the company.

I was with provided a 5-star professional service. We had our ugly laminate flooring ripped out and the hardwood floorboards underneath restored to their original splendor. Dean was able to carefully match the finish to that in our existing rooms, making the whole flat come together. They completed the job early, and worked overtime to ensure they were finished by our move-in date. The floors have come up absolutely beautifully. We were so impressed with the care the team took in everything that they did; they treated our house as they would their own. We couldn’t recommend them enough!

We are delighted with the results for our kitchen floor. From a very worn and dark old floor it has been turned into a work of art! Howard Naish took great care with the restoration in the most worn areas, and managed to stain some odd floorboards that had always annoyingly stood out. The service was speedy, there was no dust or mess. All details were talked through with us to ensure the best result, so different finishes for the final look were set up to give us time overnight to decide our preference. And we could leave awkward furniture in the room. Very highly recommend.

From the very first moment I contacted the business I was impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism. Having recently bought our first home We pulled up a carpet and discovered a beautiful (but heavily neglected) herringbone floor. It had paint, glue and cracks all over it. Dean and his team were excellent and th r floor is now stunning. I was even told by another firm I’d need a new floor. Dean mentioned he could salvage it and boy! What a difference! Howard Naish Wooden floors came highly recommended by a friend, and they lived up to expectations. Dean and Jordan did an excellent job of renovating our pine wood floor, it looks fantastic. While they were at our house we also mentioned that our wooden kitchen work surface needed some work, and they added that to the job and it now looks like new. The work was done to an excellent standard, they were polite and friendly, and the job was completed on time at the agreed price. I would highly recommend.

Our timber floor was damaged by a delivery company (several deep scratches, one in particular going across three boards) which Howard Naish managed to repair with ease, and the damage is no longer identifiable. They sanded back the floor in its entirety while myself and partner worked at home (no dust, barely any noise) and varnished within two days. Couldn’t recommend this company highly enough for any works involving timber flooring. Will definitely use again in the future if there is a need.
