  Dave and Dave came to fit my patterned Wilton carpet on my stairs and landing today. The company gave me a quote of 120 which is what they charged me. Did a brilliant job! Very pleased. Thanks so much Dave!

  Fitting carpets

  The tradesman turned up 2 hours late. I helped him carry the carpets to each room. Then he said they had the price wrong in the quote and he needed to add £200 onto the price. I refused and he left.

  The customer didn’t tell us the sizes of the carpets to be fitted only there were 6 The house was enormous with large rooms and a very big landing and stairs The sq meters were total 111 not as small as we are used to If the customer had informed us of the carpet sizes we would have priced it accordingly at least £650 it was 2 days work I’m getting a lot from Checkatrade who tell us one thing and it turns out more difficult when we get there

  Quick response from John who came out within a few days to measure up, done the following week. Flooring is good quality, laid well by Dave. Will be asking John to come back soon and do the same in our utility area
