We'd employed another Landscaper - not on Check a Trade - to replace the sleepers in our garden. Unfortunately the other contractor did a very poor job, so we came to Check a Trade and found Martin Holmes. I explained the situation to Martin, he visited our garden and suggested the best, and most cost effective, way to rectify the situation. Martin provided a very reasonable quote, turned up when he said he would, with good materials and completed the work in less than a day. He left our garden neat, clean and tidy, even stacking the leftover wood that my wife requested we keep. Excellent job.

I contacted Martin as he has produced work to a very high standard for me previously. Due to penetrating damp I required the construction of a French drain along an exterior wall to rectify the issue. Martin arrived promptly over two days, the work was carried out as planned and the area left in good order. Martin was both professional and friendly in his manner. I would definitely recommend him.

The job was done smoothly, speedily and cleanly. The workmen were polite and hardworking and finished the job beyond what I was expecting. I am exceedingly happy with the outcome and can't wait for phase 2.

Martin repaired part of a boundary garden wall that had collapsed. He arrived on time each day and worked very hard to get the work completed in a timely manner. Our experience was great. Very helpful, and professional. We needed a load bearing all taken out. After an initial setback due to the presence of asbestos in the ceiling, they completed the work swiftly, diligently and to a high standard. They were great to work with, and I would absolutly call them again.
