Dave & the team have been excellent. The project was a phase 1 of 2 garden restoration where 2/3rds of an acre had been neglected for over 10 years and bramble and thorn bushes completely took over. Amongst 6 contractors who initially viewed and provided quotes, Hills were clear front runners. Hills provided a competitive quote with a demonstratable portfolio of excellence. Dave laid our patio around 8 years ago and the quality still speaks for itself today. He professionally prepared the base with hardcore and weed membrane, cut and laid the slabs with precision, and designed a fantastic tiered garden using wooden sleepers and turf. Finished off with white decorative stones around the edges, it still looks brilliant. No weeds, no loose or rocking slabs, and after a yearly jet wash it looks as good as new. Dave and his team did a brilliant job at landscaping my garden. Due to its size and gradient they added in 2 retaining walls creating 3 levels to the garden including a porcelain patio layer, gravel and composite decking layers. My name is Dave.
My career in construction began in the Royal Engineers, where I trained as a carpenter and developed the discipline and attention to detail that underpins everything I do today.
Following my service, I broadened my expertise by achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating before progressing into groundworks and building.
In 2022, I obtained my NVQ Level 6 in Construction Contracts Management, and I am proud to be an Applicant Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) — a testament to my ongoing commitment to professional excellence.
What We Do:
We provide a comprehensive range of construction services, from landscaping and groundworks through to extensions and new builds.
Our particular area of expertise lies in groundworks encompassing septic tank installation, deep drainage and foundations, and we specialize in delivering a complete external package, guiding projects seamlessly from initial plans through to watertight completion.
