    Our dining table was damaged while moving home. Sara has done a wonderful job repairing the damage. She also removed some heat marks and gave the table a good polish. It looks like new! Sara is a lovely lady and I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

    Repair on vintage bentwood rocking chair

    We had contacted Happy Furniture Studio for repair on our vintage bentwood rocking chair. It was broken near the seat. They got it repaired in two days, looking as good as new with the area of breakages and blemishes totally disappeared. We are very happy with Happy Furniture Studio, and highly recommend to anyone who needs repair on their antique furnitures.

    Oak glazed door

    I am thrilled with my bookcase door! Small diamond shaped glazed panes with fine wooden trim. It was a very difficult task to replace the oak beading and reglaze. I gave her the other door which was not damaged for reference and I couldn’t tell the difference. Sara’s workmanship, perseverance and attention to detail are second to none. Thank you Sara. Highly recommend

    Restore damaged and very worn pine dresser

    I got a pine Welsh dresser free online, VERY much the worse for wear - badly stained, back partly missing. For what I think was a reasonable price, Sara has transformed it into a smart, beautiful piece of furniture that is a pleasure to own. . Am most impressed, and heartily recommend this craftsperson.

Hi I’m Sara and I run a small, friendly company that prides itself on offering honest advice, value for money and quality craftswomanship. I’ll treat your furniture as if it was my own (whether it’s vintage or not-so-old) and give your treasured possessions a new lease of life.

FURNITURE RESTORATION, REFINISHING AND REPAIRING

Got vintage, antique or modern furniture that’s seen better days or has got damaged over time? Help is at hand. French polishing brings original surfaces back to life using conservation principles; contemporary refinishing restores the character of furniture; and sensitive repair work (e.g. on dining chairs – fixing legs, joints, scratches, wobbles and woodworm damage) makes furniture sturdy enough to stand the test of time.

UPHOLSTERY

I’m happy do to this on sets of dining chairs, single statement chairs, some armchairs (not recliners) and stools. I’ll fix/restore the piece if needs be, before reupholstering, and only use high-quality products that meet UK regulations.
