  Did the job but lacking communication

  Got me in short notice and came out to me to do brake pads and discs. Mechanic called me out to the car to say he discovered the driveshaft had broken on the drivers side and that they would sort me a quote. Followed up the next day to be told they'd look into it straight away. It's now 3 weeks later and I've still heard nothing back. Thankfully I got it into a local garage, as I needed my car back on the road, who sorted it after diagnosing one of the worst driveshaft failures they'd ever seen. So yeah, great at the job I booked them for but not at following up with quotes.

  Didnt even turn up!!

  Booked a mechanic on a Monday for the Friday afternoon slot. Heard nothing all week, although i was told i would get a call with a quote, but not too bothered about the quote as i am desperate to get my car on the road. Friday came and i had booked the afternoon off from work as holiday. 14:30 came and nobody had arrived still, so i called the 01902 number and a lady answered saying she was out of the office at the minute, but will call me at 15:00 when she is back, to confirm my time slot. No mechanic turned up and no call back from the office.

  Driver’s seat belt replacement

  The company were really helpful and booked me in quickly for the work. The mechanic was very friendly and fitted the new seat belt buckle quickly. The work was great until a few months later when the seatbelt warning light started to come on. I had a different mechanic round to fix a problem with my boot warning light (different, unrelated issue) and asked him to take a look. He said when the buckle was fitted the wires were too tight and it was triggering the warning. Fingers crossed he’s fixed it now but he said it may need changing if the alarm comes back.

  Replacing a faulty starting motor

  Mechanic turned up promptly, confirmed the starting motor was faulty and replaced it. The original problem returned almost straight away so I contacted the Company again. They suggested the replacement was faulty and confirmed it would be replaced free of charge under warranty. Another mechanic came on 30th December, fitted a new starting motor and everything is now in good working order. There has not been any fuss at all from Grease Monkeyz regarding this and I am satisfied with the service I received (especially as it's been over the Christmas period). Would recommend...

  Charge the full amount of fees without sorting out the problems at all, not recommended. They should explain that it is just a call out charge, if they can't fix it, there's additional charges. To my impressions, they come to fix it with the amount that they quoted me.

  The booking has been to complete an acid clean and regeneration process on the customers ppf. It is explained to all customers it isn’t always physically possible to save every dpf/ppf we clean and is entirely dependent on the volume of soot within the part! We spent the best part of 90/120 minutes cleaning this vehicle but unfortunately it could not be saved. We are now in the process of gathering prices for said parts via main dealer and we have contacted the customer to explain this! She has just spoken to us via the telephone and is happy to remove the negative review as we have been and still are putting price’s together to move forward with this booking and is not alway possible to do so within an hour of completing the original booking.
