I had a window broken & stuck in closed position. Gold Shield has made 2 visits (2h total) to try and unblock the mechanism. I've provided replacement part that I sourced, that was the easy bit as I suspected what part broke. Opening the window was hard, due to lack of space, so I'm happy that we were able to get it unlocked, but I don't think I had great value for money as at 460 pounds for ~2h of work, it was rather pricey. Comms pretty good throughout.

Gold Shield Repairs did a fantastic job replacing all the locks on my windows and replacing two medium-sized glass panes that had been blown out. Very happy with everything and have not had any issues since!

Two non-functional uPVC windows were serviced as well as two door locks (one for a uPVC door was replaced and one for a wooden one was fixed). Gold Shield Repairs did an excellent job! Noe proved to be a friendly, knowledgeable and very capable technician! I would highly recommend this company!

The handle had failed on a double glazed aluminium tilt/slide door leaving the door locked.I approached a number of window firms but most did not want the job because of the difficulty of opening the door.I received only two estimates.Noe opened the door without any damage in ten minutes sourced a replacement handle and meticulously installed the handle and settled the door so it operates smoothly.His fee was fair and reasonable.He was polite and tidy.I would recommend Noe without hesitation-he is a highly skilled guy.

The door was lifted and the door handle tightened as needed.

I can't recommend this company enough. Whilst another company also responded to my request, GSR got back to me the same evening, asked for additional information, gave me a quote and got me booked in all within a few hours. When they came to actually do the job they were reassuring from the outset, whilst also realistic by stating that they would do their best to help. Whilst one door appears to be have been an easy fix, the second door was much more involved - but they did resolve the issue. I felt sure that the quoted price would increase given the workload - but the quote stood.
