Competitive quote & initially responsive. Polite & courteous, good value, disappointing timescale. Estimated 4-5 days, took 18, stressful & chaotic. Workers arrived late, often left early. 2 days no show. Trader 2-timed us with a/o overrun job. More funds requested 3 times. We declined 3rd. Redecorated 3 rooms good standard. Elsewhere, neat painted lining paper patch strips. 2 ceilings we expected painted, were instead patched & patches painted – but really well done. We knew patches were economical, but would not be perfect. Socket & switch area patches by other guys disappointingly untidy.

Thank you for your feedback. The original 4–5 day estimate was based on rooms being fully cleared, which unfortunately was not the case and caused delays. In addition, the kitchen ceiling had unforeseen issues that required extensive preparation and patching, which was discussed and agreed as the most economical solution. Requests to rush certain areas further impacted the schedule. Additional costs related only to extended labour time. Three rooms were completed to a good standard as acknowledged.
