"Robin" arranged to meet at a property to quote replacement of lead pipes. He didn't turn up, not even bothering to tell me he wouldn't be coming. When I called GCB to check, the first man I spoke with said I'd "called the wrong number", then checked with his colleague, who then came on the phone to say Robin had called in sick that morning. No apology. Neither Robin nor GCB had the decency or courtesy to at least tell me the meeting was cancelled beforehand. When an employee calls in sick, the intelligent thing a firm should do is tell the clients? £20 taxi fare wasted.

As other customers have stated in their reviews, GCB have provided an exemplary service from start to finish. From within around 2 hours of my enquiry they sent someone to survey the site for a quote. They explained clearly what work would be involved. The e-mailed quote was very fairly priced - and based on other customer reviews we commissioned them to carry out the work. The dayworks were completed within a few days of the original enquiry to fit in with our availability. The team were very professional, courteous and left the site tidy. We highly recommend their services.
