Review of a Solar, Battery and EV installation by The Energy Experts I chose The Energy Experts to design and install my solar, battery and EV charger system after dealing with several other companies. The installation was a large one as I wanted to use every inch of our large detached bungalow roof to generate and export electricity with 20kw battery storage. Despite the system being large-28 x 5.4 kw panels-the whole system including battery and EV installation was completed by the team in a single day. 13 solar panels and a battery fitted and the team were great and flexible so that I got the most out of the setup. I choose Energy Experts over several rivals due to the good quality advice given upfront when choosing the right system. The Energy Experts installed solar panels, inverter and battery in 2023. We sold the house in November 2025, so this review is retrospective. Advice on panels and battery (GivEnergy) proved to be excellent - in the two full years we exported more electricity than we used, and our bill savings were near the original estimate. Also, we benefitted from the GivEnergy GivBack scheme, which allowed remote control of the battery to sell energy back to the grid when demand was high. Installation was mostly smooth. We had solar panels and battery installed by this company on our house roof and three storey extension. From quotation to completion the process was flawless and we are extremely satisfied with the installation. Both the installation guys and Martin and David in the office were helpful, prompt and professional. The Energy Experts installed solar panels and a battery for me. The work was completed in one day and all is well. As we said, we do not believe in salespeople, so we offer a very simple process:
1. Contact us (basic information)
2. We will set up a short remote appointment. This will provide you with an in-depth illustration, using industry-leading design software, to fit exactly with your property. A site survey will be arranged if required.
3. An Electronic detailed proposal will be issued, and we’ll discuss this with you to ensure you are happy with the details.
4. Only when you are completely satisfied, we will issue a contract for the work, giving you a 7-day cooling-off period, and we will require a deposit, which is protected.
