We highly recommend Mark. He was a pleasure to interact with and he did an amazing job fixing, sanding and varnishing the wood floors in our bedrooms. One of the bedrooms in particular needed a fair bit of work (the floor was previously hidden under carpet which we removed when we moved in) and it is quite astonishing how good it looks now!

The floors needed a fair bit of prep before sanding. There was sticky residue on the floorboards from the old carpet. Some floorboards had to be partially replaced. The edge of the floorboards above the staircase had to be rounded off.

Mark was brilliant; he arrived punctually, did a great job, left the space tidy and clean. He is an honest hard working man and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. His quotes are very competitive and he is true to his word- no hidden costs.

Worried about sounding a bit OTT, but Mark is one of the nicest people we've ever met. For various reasons we made the decision to uplift & re-organise our flooring ourselves (and insulating underneath), with Mark making trickier bits good and sanding & varnishing the rest. Without the helpful advice, support (and then some!) Mark gave for the whole process, I don't think we would have ever been able to do it. And I'm reluctant to go into the details because I don't think it's fair to set those kinds of expectations for future work he will be taking on - but he really did go above and beyond!
