I guess every contractor has a job, from time to time, that doesn't go well. Sadly this was my experience with Fixers-UK. Work started on 18th December and was then left, so the house had no washbasin over Christmas and the New Year. Fixers then sent an invoice that failed to itemise the labour and other costs - though this was promised. Worse, when the invoice arrived, the bathroom was still not finished. They finally got someone out to finish off on 11th February. Less than three days work that took 8 weeks. They offered a discount in compensation, but it couldn't make up for the disruption.
Response from Fixers-uk LTD
We’re sorry that you felt disappointed with the overall experience.
For clarity, the original scope of works increased significantly once the project had started, which inevitably extended the time required on site. We were not made aware of the additional items at quotation stage, and we accommodated these changes as best we could within the constraints of the Christmas period.
There were also several occasions where we were unable to gain access to the property at agreed times, which unfortunately contributed to delays. Despite this, we completed additional works at no extra charge
