8.75 Partially build a new fireplace with granite and install and commission a new gas fire

Dave designed a new granite surround and step to fit in with an existing bricked chimney place. We chose a gas Logic HE inset fire to go with it and the two guys who dis mantled the old fire place, fitted the granite and then installed the new fire did a great job even with the then Covid restrictions. We have been very happy with the design and use of the fire ever since. Good experience throughout. Helpful detailed advice in shop (Sandhurst) to help select new fire and surround. All work done on day originally agreed and as price quoted. Tidy efficient installation which was slightly complicated by my request for new hidden cable supply to be chased along adjacent wall into the false chimney breast - thus leaving no visible cabling around the actual fireplace. We bought a new inset gas fire, hearth and surround from them. A very constructive survey helped us to confirm our initial requirements. On the installation day the guys were extremely clean and efficient. Removal of old gas fire , surround and hearth replaced by the new products in just four hours. The entire process from showroom, surveying and installation was faultless. All their team were polite, attentive and personable. Job location: GU52The workmen were very good. The surround around the coals was wrong but no trouble replacing it. Two marks in the main surround were corrected too. No problem.
