The job: old loft boards and insulation taken out, 300 mm of new put in, and a storage platform 16m2. We exchanged emails about exactly the job. He came to my house and gave me a quote for this job.
On the morning he and his guy pressured me into accepting a different job, assured me same effect, best, etc. The old boards not removed, no 300 mm of new throughout loft, platform only 11 m2, no air gap. Price £2350 (only took 150 off) for 25 m2 loft (he claimed it was 30 m2)I wrote him on the day and he blew me off until Checkatrade got involved. They ruled in my favor. Going to Court.

I would like to clarify exactly what happened regarding the work carried out for Liz.
I attended the property on the morning of the job and went through the agreed works with Liz before we started. We explained that the loft insulation would be installed to 300mm, and where the boarding was going which was completed as agreed. I also have photographic evidence showing the work that was carried out. Liz was over the moon when it was Done !!
Why did Liz sign a disclaimer? To say she checked all the work ! Also why did Liz pay me on the day ?if you was not happy with the job why pay .
