Appalling. EPM sent someone who wasn't an employee, so are subcontracting unverified tradies at £180 p/h. He didn't bring enough silicone, despite it being the first job of the day. He wanted to go off to buy more, charging me the above rate for that time! He damaged the front of the bath, but tried to cover it up with silicone. The rest of the silicone was a mess. He had to come back on another day to finish the half-done job. When I discovered the damage, EPM said it was a private matter between me and him and refused to make the easy repair, and stonewalled me. Avoid at all costs.
Response from Exeter Property Maintenance Limited
Hi Benjamin, this review contains several incorrect claims. The engineer who attended was an EPM employee at the time, not a subcontractor, and is now an ex-employee. We are also unsure where £180 per hour has come from when the entire invoice was £166 + VAT including labour and materials. We spoke with you multiple times and investigated the matter, so the suggestion we “stonewalled” you is simply untrue. As explained previously, the return visit where the damage occurred was arranged privately between yourself and the engineer and was not booked or invoiced through EPM.
