  Updating kitchen lighting systems

  I have used this company for several jobs over the past 4 years because of their reliability, availability, high standards, reasonable costs, professionalism and friendly service. They are easy to deal with, tidy up properly after working and very straightforward to deal with throughout, from initial booking to completion and payment. The work on this occasion was to update both under-unit strip lights and ceiling-mounted spotlights to more energy-efficient lighting, including providing all of the new items.

  Rewiring pull-cord switches for main lighting and extractor fan.

  We have used Elect4U, which is a small family-owned local Electrical company, as my go-to contractor for all my home electrical work over the past few years. They undertake all aspects of home electrical work ranging from basic lighting/switches to installation of solar panel systems. We highly recommend Elect4U as they provide excellent service and are very reliable no matter how big or small the task may be.

  Rented Flat 5-year EICR plus remedials

  During the 5-year EICR the technician discovered serious arcing inside the Cooker Switch, which is a significant safety issue. He called me immediately and talked through the problem, and my options. I agreed for him to remedy this C1 fault. Later I received the draft certificate, showing 3 further C2 faults and 1 C3. I booked Electric4u straight-away to return and put right all 4 issues. This was done with no fuss and gave us piece of mind that our tenant's and our property were both safe for the immediate future.

  New fuse box/EICR report/+odd jobs (e.g., some socket and light fittings)

  Online I received good and prompt communication with a reasonable quote on par with others I received. The electricians who came round were professional and polite. Explained work needed and gave options and didn’t try to upsell excessive/unnecessary work. The work was done in a short time frame with minimal disruption and I was kept in the loop. Will happily use again in the future and will recommend to others.
