The boys were brilliant carrying out the work in difficult weather with us all living in the house. They kept us dry and managed to finish the job to a fantastic standard and in really good time

A project that was meant to a simple removal of render on an old stone house and replacement with limewash with some pointing, sadly turned into a major rethink due to poor previous stone work and building. Bringing an expertise in handling old business structures, each stage of the operation was fully explained with multiple options based upon likely costs. Pine end was fully reduced and rebuilt, new ring beam and block work to reinforce the raised roof. Options to support and buttress the walls turned a crisis into features. Excellent worker. Dave did an excellent job in preparing an old patio area and then laying slate paving slabs. He used his expertise to ensure the heavy slabs were laid on sound foundations and the drainage was correct. He also put to use the surplus slabs by creating a slate step to the front door. The finished job looks absolutely superb. Dave also hung 7 new internal oak doors and a hardwood front door. Also amazing. Furthermore I had an external underground leak to my water supply. Dave was able to excavate the area and fix the problem. All in all a fantastic general builder, well assisted by Luke and Tommy

I opted for Dave as he was happy to take complete responsibility for a complex and wide ranging refurbishment at my new home. It was clear to me from our initial consultation that he is a knowledgeable and competent tradesman. His quotation was competitive and the whole project was completed on time and within budget. The job included fitting slate tiled floors, plastering a ceiling and walls, replacing a leaky conservatory roof, fitting new kitchen units/sink and cooker, wall tiling and decorating. It's remarkable to have found a single builder capable of all the above (ably assisted by Luke)

He never came back to me, which is extremely disappointing.
