  Disappointing and negative experience

  I had such a disappointing experience with Draw Plans and would urge caution before instructing them. I notice my negative review is not the first. As a residential homeowner with zero building experience looking to get a detached single garage rebuilt, I decided to instruct an architect and went with this company. There isn’t enough space on this site for my full review, although that can be read on TrustPilot and Google Reviews. Suffice to say, my overall experience was negative and I would urge caution before instructing them. Poor communication and just one re-draw pemitted

  Planning drawings

  Draw plans were appointed to provide planning drawings for a rear extension. The drawings were issued to the local authority and were rejected for having dimensions significantly beyond the local authority guidelines. This should have been know by a competent architectural technician. We contacted Draw Plans and told then that the plans should be updated but this should not be extra cost to us. We have subsequently never had a response despite multiple emails and phone calls. I cannot recommend.

  Avoid

  Avoid, legal threats, desperate for the money! Everything started well initially until the plans were received. We made one key request prior to the drawings being completed and upon receipt of the drawings they were not included. Imagine how that felt, we then said we would only pay once they make the change we requested in the very first instance, however they threatened legal action and we came to the agreement that i would pay and then they would make the requried revision. Guess what, they didnt make the revision, they wont respond to my emails. AVOID, do not risk it, they even have

  Resite staircase, renovate bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom etc

  Everything unfinished, new staircase damaged and unsafe. No bannister construction. No kitchen, no bathroom. No french window, just opening not blocked up. New windows, supposedly ordered cannot be found. Has sent letter saying he cancels contract. Quantity Surveyor appointed by me says stage payments have been overpaid by £22,000. No work done March to August 3 rd when letter was received.

  Overall great service, Tom has great attention to detail, he is very knowledgeable, it’s because of this he is good at solving problems. The work went smoothly and that was important for us as we are professional and very busy.
