Darren was amazing. He advised and then made our shabby oak floor look incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and the 3 days were fun because he was full of jokes. He then came back and reinstated all the furniture leaving everything lovely. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

We couldn’t be happier with the work done by Darren. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly, and clearly very experienced. His attention to detail was outstanding – the floor was laid perfectly and the finish is flawless. It’s clear he really takes pride in his work. The price was very reasonable for the quality and service we received and we would highly recommend him to anyone - he really knows what he's doing.

Darren gave us an estimate rather than a fixed price as the original floor surface was far from perfect, and that was fine. He maintained the herringbone patters across the whole area despite odd corners, doorways and alcoves which shows off the quality oak. He turned up when he said he would and left the place really clean and tidy. He also managed to calculate the amount of blocks we needed which is complicated with a herringbone pattern and we are left with two boxes of blocks in case of an accident which might require some blocks to be replaced.

Fantastic job. Floor was damaged by water leak. Some blocks were loose and there was much staining. Affected blocks were removed then glued back down firmly. Floor then sanded and lacquer applied . Now looks like a new floor even though it's an original feature in a 1940s house.

Darren provided the initial quote and advice and his knowledge and experience was evident. His follow up deposit invoice was as advised. He explained how long the job would take and was perfectly on time both days. He discussed the job as it went, including how he would deal with details. Darren is friendly, polite and most likeable but more importantly, he is a skilled, hard working tradesman with many years experience. He went out of his way to ensure a threshold bar matched an existing one elsewhere.
