I bought a house that needed a full renovation, and Dave from D J Hartnup was excellent from start to finish. He helped strip all the old wallpaper, saved us money on plastering by lining the walls, carried out all the prep work, filled and lined the walls, and painted the whole house to a very high standard. He also helped with the ceilings and plasterboarding. Dave is reliable, hardworking, and clearly takes pride in his work. I’m extremely happy with the results and would happily recommend him to others

Another great visit to redecorate the Hall, Stairs and Landing. We have got used to David's quiet, professional way of working alongside us. Each day the set goals were completed then the following days programme was given before he left for the day. David is very tidy in his work and cleans the areas before leaving for the day. Each quote has been kept to which is refreshing in this time of everything rapidly increases with a blink of an eye! Thanks also goes to Eve who actions messages of any kind with speed and efficiency. We look forward to seeing him again in 2026.

We’ve used Dave on a number of occasions, his work is first rate, he is polite, punctual and an absolute professional. It’s a pleasure to have him do work on our house. On a recent job he helped with advice of how to improve bad patches and went above and beyond to sort out a few little bits which just lifts the overall finish. 100% recommend.
