We used DJ brickwork for a 2 storey extension after Dan was recommended by a friend. We were so impressed by Dan and his team’s hard work and expertise during the build. Come rain or shine (or snow!) they turned up on time every day and worked all day to finish the job two weeks ahead of schedule. Dan planned the project well, ensuring we always had some areas of the house to live in while him and his team worked on knocking down and rebuilding external walls. I can not recommend DJ Brickwork highly enough. They are incredibly knowledgeable and reliable and also trustworthy. It really put my mind at rest knowing the works were being carried out by someone I could trust and who did the job so well. The builders were polite, helpful, had great communication skills and did an impeccable job, leaving the area tidy every day. We are so pleased with the patio and even our neighbour who is a builder, is very impressed.

I am keen support local tradesmen. I sought three quotes for my job. Quality of workmanship and a good “track record” of reviews together with presentation at site viewing / quotation stage are as important to me as reasonable competitiveness on price. Dan was very prompt at viewing the project and his background in the trade, professionalism and sound advice shone through. His quotation was prompt. Dane kept to his word on “lead-in” dates and the entire job was quickly completed over 3 days by a very professional, very tidy and courteous team of 4. Thoroughly pleased with final outcome

We needed a crumbling garden wall and steps rebuilt and a huge patio relaid to fix wobbly slabs and broken pointing. Dan’s estimate for the job was competitive and he worked hard to find solutions that would keep the work to a sensible cost. The existing slabs were pressure washed, lifted and stacked while the groundwork was prepared. The new wall involved rebuilding two steps to a raised lawn, removing third set completely and extending a retaining wall to enable a sloping lawn to be levelled. The weather was constantly against us but Dan and his team battled through; great job.

Dan and his team are very professional. They did an amazing job very quickly with out any fuss. There as a great 'can do' attitude. They are very tidy as well, even our neighbours commented on that. They would be my go to builders if we needed any more work doing!

Towards the end of a restoration project with a tight deadline we realised we had a number of smaller issues we'd forgotten about. To find anyone willing to help at the last minute looked impossible. I posted the jobs without much hope of finding help. Dan responded promptly and managed (in between a number of other projects) to fit in boxing in pipes, boxing in under a window, replacing a chimney lintel, installing a new fireplace, resolving a damp problem, bricking up a hole in the wall, finding a plumber for a stopcock issue all within a couple of weeks. Miracle worker - highly recommended!
