    Darren and Anthony did a cracking job damp proofing our hallway and living room. The quality of their work is excellent and they keep this dusty, dirty work, nice and tidy too. Communications are great and this is the second time we've used their services so would recommend.

    Rising damp in livingroom and dining area

    Darren and his colleague treated our home with great respect and consideration. They delivered exactly what they promised and the quality of their work is of a very high standard.     Darren and Anthony were clean and tidy on what was a rather messy job When Darren came across an unforseen problem he explained it clearly and discussed with me any additional cost . Would definitely recommend.

    damp coursing

    damp coursing on quite a few walls, we have used them before, excellent work, they cleaned up after they were finished and have done a wonderful job, i would definitely recommend them, they took everything away, he has also given me a 20 year guarantee

    Damp proof and redecorate porch

    We had a single skin porch which was damp and cold. DFT quoted for the job and we decided to go with them. The job was done in stages as we had to wait for a concrete type coat to dry out, then a special plasterboard was added, followed by a layer of plaster, finishing with new skirting boards. Darren and Anthony were attentive, professional and hard working. Always consulting us if choices were required. They cleaned up at every stage, especially at the end of the job. The porch is now dry and warm. We are delighted with the results and wouild thoroughly recommend them.

DFT Damp Proofing & Plastering was founded by myself, Darren Tingey, in 1997 after completing my time with one of London’s largest plastering companies. I worked across London and the South East, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of plastering projects.


Following this, I spent four years with a major London-based damp proofing company, where I deepened my knowledge of rising damp and waterproofing systems. I then worked alongside a highly respected local builder for five more years, learning the interior and exterior aspects of the building trade through his 30 years of experience.


Today, I bring over 39 years of experience in all areas of plastering, rendering, damp proofing, rising damp treatment, tanking, and general building works. I work closely with my long-time colleague Anthony, and together we’ve built a company known for being honest, reliable, and highly skilled.


We also collaborate with trusted professional trades when required. We pride ourselves on clear communication, and we are always clean, respectful, and tidy when working in our clients’ homes. Our goal is to consistently deliver the highest standard of workmanship.
