Eddie was positive in nature and very calm whilst he worked. Unfortunately, he didn't take care with his work. This meant that there was some damage to the property and it was left quite dirty; his patching up was quite messy and so I've been left to 'make good' on these holes and damage to the wall.
The humidistat, timer, continuous Greenwood extractor fans didn't calibrate initially, so I'm hoping they will work better going forward. Eddie has assured me of the two year guarantee, so I'm hopeful if there is an issue, it will be resolved.
Response from Devonhurst Electrical Installations
I apologise that some aspects of the work did not fully meet the client's expectations. We strive to ensure that clients are fully aware of the scope of work. The estimate clearly stated that installing lighting fixtures would require running cables through the ceiling, involving cutting holes and inevitably creating dust. This could damage decorative finishes, potentially needing professional repairs by a decorator. While holes were filled, additional sanding and painting was required, which was communicated to the client both verbally and in writing. Every effort will be made to minimise dust; however, sensitive or valuable items should be removed from the working area or covered by the client to their satisfaction before work commences. Basic tidying and vacuuming will be done upon completion of the work, but additional wiping down, especially of food preparation surfaces, should be undertaken by the client once the site has been vacated. Repairs to decorative finishes, such as wall chases, are outside the scope of works and may require professional attention. All our electrical installation work comes with a two-year guarantee.
