  Ricky responded to my email for a diagnosis and treatment of woodworm on the same day. He completed the work two days later. The workmanship was good. Ricky was friendly, polite and efficient. He was also able to replace affected floorboards at the same time which was appreciated. I would definitely seek out Ricky again for this sort of work.

  From start to finish Ricky was brilliant. It’s always difficult finding trades that you haven’t used before but after reading some reviews I got in touch with Derbyshire Damp. Ricky came out quickly to quote, was honest and informative about the work that needed doing and provided an itemised quote with no pressure at all. During the works he always turned up on time, was friendly, always cleaned up after himself and takes pride in his work. 100% recommend I’ve already mentioned to several people I know a great damp specialist if needed

  We had persistent damp stains on the chimney breast and adjoining wall in a bedroom. Ricky explained what caused the damp and the work needed to eradicate the problem. We were impressed with his knowledge and felt we could trust him to do the job. We weren't disappointed. Ricky demonstrated great expertise. He had to take the plaster off back to the brickwork and remove the skirting, before applying a sealant and a membrane and then replastering and restoring the skirting. The workmanship was excellent. Ricky cleaned up and took all the rubble away with him as he went along.

  Damp diagnosis

  Ricky did a great job diagnosing and then fixing some damp I had in my property. It was a big job caused by a historic leak in the roof and involved all of the old plaster being taken off, a membrane and replastering. Ricky explained everything in detail that needed doing and kept me updated throughout. It was a messier job than I expected but he did his best to limit the mess and tidy up after the work. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again! Very smooth plastering that has dried well
