We had ended up without a landline or broadband after a cable was incorrectly cut. It wasn't a straightforward reconnection but David came to our rescue. Having rung him in the morning the day following our disaster, he was able to come that afternoon and with great skill managed to reconnect us. He was professional, friendly, extremely helpful and we were so grateful to him for coming to see us so promptly to bale us out. David removed a number of redundant phone cables from outside and inside the house. He was very tidy and explained what he was doing as well as talking through the options. Dave was super quick to respond to my initial enquiry and came round the next day to advise on broadband connections to the house, old wiring and what connection points to remove or keep. He removed cables and boxes no longer required/functional and explained everything about the current house broadband set up really clearly. I rang David on his Checkatrade number. He instantly said he could help. He gave me a number to contact bt who fixed the external problem quickly. My Sky Q set up, I have 5 sky q boxes, was not working. David came out to our house immediately and fixed the problem quickly. He is hugely knowledgeable. I could not be more satisfied. I have over 30 years’ experience in telecommunications, starting out as an apprentice with BT. I have been a freelance engineer for 20 years. I install Cat 5e/Cat 6 network cabling, with a focus on broadband and wifi networks. I also install and maintain telephone systems, specialising in the Panasonic range.I carry out all types of domestic and business telecoms-related work:- Tracing, diagnosing and rectifying internal and external line and cable faults, especially broadband and wifi coverage issues- Installing additional or upgrading existing telephone points and wiring- Renewing, re-routing and tidying existing internal and external wiring, during home renovation, window replacement etc.Feel free to call me - I am happy to provide advice over the phone, as a visit may not even be required.
