  Solving a damp problem

  Our 19th century Cotswold cottage was suffering serious damp problems. I had several quotes but only one , Cotswold Lime and Stone, showed any real understanding of the issue. With an older cottage you need to respect the craftsmen that built it and the materials they used. Travis and Jacob are masters of their art and understand the heritage of old buildings. Highly recommend. PS. The damp problem was eliminated immediately.

  Chimney repair and damp investigations

  Travis was very clear with his assessment and explanation of the work that was required. He was flexible when the job changed from what was expected and kept us up to date in a timely manner. We're really pleased with the work they've done so far and look forward to continuing working with them.

  Repointing 19th century cottage

  Older houses need to be treated with respect. Respect for the craftsman that built them and respect for the materials used. There is no room for shortcuts. No silicon rods. No concrete cowboys. Enter Travis and Jacob. One glance identifies the cause of dampness indoors. Previous repointing using concrete mortar. Six weeks later the dampness has gone and the wall looks just as it would have done 150 years ago. Brilliant job done professionally and with humour (and countless cups of tea). Cotswold Lime and Stone are highly recommended.

  Build a retainer wall

  Travis came highly recommended through friends of ours, we are super pleased with the end result and now we have a solid wall which also looks amazing. I would recommend Travis and his team to anyone who needs building work to be done. 10/10!!

  Chimney Rebuild

  Travis and Jacob were able to quickly come up with a solution to a chimney that was both blocked and falling over, rebuilding it back and bringing it back into use in the process. The quality of the work is very impressive and Travis ability to explain what was required and keep us informed at every stage was really great. Would highly recommend for any building work on old or listed buildings as his knowledge and passion for these projects led to a really good outcome on our property.

  Lime Repointing

  Travis came to our property to provide a quote for lime mortar repointing and instantly showed his professionalism and pride in his work. He was able to liaise with our neighbours as well as us to create an stress-free solution for scaffolding. The quality of the work undertaken is of the highest standard and we have had numerous comments from neighbours and requests for Travis’ details. Can’t recommend both Travis and Jacob enough to anyone needing repointing work carried out. It seems to be a genuine passion for them both and they were a pleasure to have around the house.
