  Roof valley replacement and hips repair.

  Clive @ CD Construction recently carried out some roof repairs on my property. The first job was to resheath a valley where the lead had aged and perforated. This was overlaid with rubber sheet, run up under the tiles. The second job was to repair and reset two hips on the roof where the bonnet tiles had slumped down towards the guttering. Clive executed the work in a very quick and efficient manner, with an excellent outcome on both tasks. In particular, the bonnets were repointed with cement mixed to colour-match the existing 120 year old masonry, producing a visually cohesive result.

  Ceiling heater & loft resolution

  I asked Clive to put an infrared ceiling heater in a top floor bedroom before winter set in, as there is no heating upstairs, so to do this he had to go into the loft where he noticed that my party wall had been breached (gap between houses). Clive quickly resolved this with the help of his engineer, coming up with a solution (taking down chimney bricks, & getting it ready to convert in the future). Clive thought about the most cost-effective way for me, & I’m very happy with his suggestion/s. He worked quickly to resolve this problem, so the house is now safe.

  Clive has been so helpful giving us practical advice and liaising with building control to deal with questions about our loft conversion left unanswered by the original build company, and carrying out an emergency fix at really short notice.

  Clive’s second job for us - just as efficient and tidy. Replastered wall and replaced radiator.

  This is the second time we've asked Clive to help with work in our home, and once again we’re very happy with the results. This time he replastered the whole window wall of a bedroom as the existing plaster was detaching and crumbling. He also replaced an old radiator. Clive was quick, tidy, and professional. It’s great to have someone reliable who’s also easy to get along with. We’ll definitely be getting in touch with him again for any future jobs, and we’re happy to recommend him to others.

  Clive to the rescue again!!!

  My new macerator broke down in less than 2 months, so I had to buy another one very quickly. Clive was wonderful, really understood my problem & how important it was for the en-suite to work, therefore he sorted it out swiftly & advised not to buy on the cheap again
