Contacted Captain Sweep as my gas fire failed its smoke test. Paul arrived on time and was very personable. He was able to identify the problem with his chimney camera which showed, weirdly enough, that the chimney was blocked with loft insulation. He then removed half a black sack full before giving the chimney a clean bill of health and left us a certificate for insurance purposes. Paul was very efficient and cleaned up after himself. He was very friendly and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

We used Captain Sweep's services for the first time this morning, and we have to say, "fantastic"! We have an unusual open fire, but it was no problem for Paul. A thorough, professional clean at a great price. Highly recommended!

Booked sweep several weeks ago. Received confirmation text and email. A week before appointment, received a text at 9am on sat morning to ask to rearrange as he wanted to get car serviced. I text back and said this was fine and offered ANY Thursday or Friday going forward (note - the original booking was on a Friday). Received a cancellation email stating 'Too far from Bath. No response to text messages regarding the surcharge. Appointment cancelled’ This email was sent 23 MINUTES after he sent text message. Very poor.
