    to remove a faulty sencor

    Paul came to our house on morning of 04/10/2024, he showed no manner or any courtesy towards myself and my wife. Instead asked to see the faulty sensor. Without waiting, he went to work and he did it in very fast time , the tasting of other sensors in the house were also done in a rush. Before he come, I was told by Andy on the phone that it will cost £84.00 including VAT. But Paul said no, its £84.00 plus VAT. I have repeated what Andy said to me, but no was the reply and said he has never heard of anything like that in his 30 years life which implys that I was making it all up.

    Annual Service of Intruder Alarm System

    Alarm Technician rang to advise that he was running late, which turned out to be a 20 minutes delay. Carried out the annual service, but was not able to deal with our queries about the app on our phones linked to the alarm system. However, he promised to arrange for someone else to call us, which they did at lunch time and sorted out our problems. Satisfied with this, but was staggered to receive an invoice for £21 for two CRS batteries and five AA batteries. Seems extortionate. May be looking for an alternative company for next year.

    Alarm maintenance

    Took out a maintenance contract with BWS Standfast. They did a take over of my Pyronix alarm system, did a full check over, replaced batteries and supplied and linked a new key fob. Both engineers explained all the set up and were helpful with my queries. All contact with the office team was also very good. Excellent company and highly recommended.

    Service call

    I requested a service call due to some technology changes being made at home, requiring adjustments to alarm settings. Service Engineer Rich was extremely helpful, talking me through what I needed to do with patience and humour. Many thanks to BWS for being highly responsive and helpful - avoided a chargeable callout and made what could have been a tricky job a great deal easier.
