  I had a "Floating" first floor extension approved by the local council in early July 2025. Ellis Broadbent and his team were recommended as possible builders who could complete the work. I contacted Ellis who responded immediately. He came round same day....had a quote by that evening and work started early september. He project managed the whole contract from structural drawing completion, dealing with building control and any other issues. Work was completed mid November on schedule. All minor issues have since been dealt with swiftly . Would highly recommend him

  Form opening, fit glazing, erect and fit balcony

  From the outset, Ellis was polite, friendly, and a real pleasure to deal with. He provided a prompt quote for a complex job and handled inevitable material delays calmly and professionally. Ellis brought in all the trades needed and rescheduled when necessary without losing patience. I gave a 9 for quality as the window fitter could have been a little more careful, but that wasn’t part of the original scope. Overall, my experience with Broadbent Builders was extremely positive, and I’d happily recommend them.

  Great service

  Fantastic service from ellis and the team at Broadbent building services, loft conversion looks amazing! Worked with me to come up with the best design and to utilise the space. Not the easiest of conversions with 2 bedrooms been 5mx3.5 and a huge 8mx2.7 landing area in loft space with no need of dormers. Fitted the stairway where we wanted it whilst all complying with building regulations. Good workmanship throughout the project

  Has a ceiling collapse

  Ellis was prompt, and reviewed the issue thoroughly before getting on with fixing the issue what a really like about Ellis is the communication which was constant. Job well done

  Professional Work

  Ellis and his team were asked to remove an old wall and rebuild using breeze blocks. Once completed they were asked to build a fence to go along the newly built wall. They also carried out some re-concreting of a path around the extension. I was very pleased with all the work they undertook which was done to a high standard. Ellis himself was very approachable, friendly and his team reliable. I would definitely recommend and use them in the future should I need any further building work doing.
