It is secondly very important that all shutter frames are installed absolutely square and level otherwise the door panels will no close properly. Most windows are out of square and are not level, even if they appear to be to the naked eye!
These grey plantation shutters are really on trend at the moment, here the panel doors are closed and the louvres are open. This configuration does not have a midrail or tilt rod making it very clean and uncluttered.
