First of all before writing this review we have no connections with John or his damp course team. The purpose of this review is to give credit where it’s due and as far as we are concerned it certainly is well deserved. John came out to give us an estimate and advice. He called exactly when he said he would and gave us lots of advice and information, he is very easy to talk to. He sent us a quote and we accepted it and gave us a date when the job would be completed. John’s team arrived bang on 8.00 am and never stopped until the work was completed. We would highly recommend this company.

We were experiencing damp in 2 rooms but were unsure of the cause, It was immediately apparent that John knew his stuff - he identified lack of ventilation because of covered air bricks. Previous 'experts' had not explained why the damp was happening - just that they would repair - not getting to the root of the problem. The Blackburn team was great sorting this issue and rectifying the problems in the rooms, adding insulation, ventilation and repairing the damaged walls. The work was exceptional, thorough and tidy - everyone was professional and communication was good throughout.

John's team had treated a couple of walls for us five years ago. Previous remedial work by other tradesmen had not solved the problem and the damp came back. However these walls have shown no signs of damp reappearing since Blackburn Damp Proofing treated them, therefore we had no hesitation in contacting John to deal with two other problem walls. Professional job done from initial contact to clearing up and quality of final plastered walls is excellent.

Excellent work done on my lounge wall, work completed within the day, they found what was causing the problem and hardly any mess to clear up, certainly would recommend.

Inserted air bricks and installed ventilation system to sub floor. Removal of plaster and protective barrier installed and replastered Excellent work by the team and was left very tidy. Highly recommended.

This is the 2nd job John and his team have completed, the former 5 years ago. The work is sound and completed exactly as agreed and on the date agreed. I have recommended this company to good friends as well.
