10 Damp in Kitchen

We contacted Ben after a long-term water leak was discovered and rectified by our plumber however the wall behind the leak remained damp. Ben was extremely efficient, quick and easy to deal with, managing to fit us around his other jobs at very short notice. The work area, in the kitchen, was left clean and tidy after each visit. After removing the damaged plaster and render, injecting a new DPC and re-rendering/re-plastering, the final finish was brilliant especially bearing in mind the difficulty in skimming behind existing pipework. Ben investigated damp in the sitting room and landing of my 150 year old cottage. He advised on remedial work which he then carried out after supplying me with a detailed estimate of the cost and work involved. This involved moving old and damaged plaster, tanking walls and re plastering. He also injected a new damp proof course. Ben worked neatly and tidily, removed all rubbish from site. Job location: LU2Ben was incredibly helpful in getting a Damp Survey done for me. Even when the landlord was being unhelpful in terms of allowing Ben to do his job, Ben was patient and nice enough to go back on multiple occasions. I know that a lot of people worry with Damp Survey's that services are being sold to you even if you don't need them; but with Ben, the very humane way he dealt with us, reassures me that I don't need to worry about that! Ben did a very good and cost effective job in solving our damp problem on what is a 100 year old property. Indeed as we are in the process of selling, the quality of his work withstood the exacting scrutiny of a "Full Structural Survey".
