Barter and Son Removals and Clearances

We are a small local removals and clearance company that has been running for 40 years.My name is Stuart Barter, and I am the 'son', it was my father’s business for 35 years and he built up a reputation for his cleanliness, punctuality, speed, customer service and his ability to take care of your items like they were his own, plus he was a piano specialist. I worked for him for the last 10 years that he had the business and learned everything I know from him, and not only did I learn how to do the job properly, I learned that the customers satisfaction is all that matters.If you are local to Worthing you may know the business as 'Peter Barter Removals' but I changed it to 'Barter & Son' when he passed the business on to me, people may wonder why I called it Barter & Son if it is only the son? There are two reasons for this; As it was my father’s business for a very long time and he built it up from scratch I wanted to keep his name alive and out of respect of what he has achieved, and also after what my father taught me over the years while I was working with him, I wanted that to live on in the business, and will still keep to the excellent standard he always gave.

We have over 15 years’ experience in handling extremely expensive items and in the last few we have moved items such as 80 Inch TVs and £10,000 paintings which have all made it to the destination safe and sound.I carry out all the jobs I quote myself, which customers find to be helpful as they are not trying to communicate with different people in the days leading up to their move.
