Quality of the job was fine but sadly let themselves down with poor finishing. 6 weeks after work began on new bathroom, a loose fitting causing a leak was identified as the cause of having no hot water. On calling back the firm to fix their fault, I was told to wait 7 days as they were away. They refuse to send anyone or to pay for the work to be carried out, preferring me to wait to the 7th week for my hot water. No apology even.
In addition, nothing was written down, leaving wide open for misunderstanding. Payments were separate to tradesman which was confusing and laborious.

Sarah you were over the moon when we finished. We agreed to invoice individually as I’m VAT registered and they are not, therefore it saves you money otherwise it would be 20% across the board and we saved you £900 in doing so. You had your boiler repaired 3 weeks ago and you said you had a small drip on the towel rail 2 days ago. I’m away this week and I’m happy to come on Monday morning which you declined. You are under guarantee and I am a one man band. I have been very reasonable and always treated you with respect so I don’t know where this is coming from?
