We required exterior and interior damp proofing, plus some interior plastering in our old house. Avant Garde Damp Solutions provided a breakdown of the overall cost, and we had to pay a 30% commission fee on the invoice. That done, Avant Garde carried out the work a day past the agreed start date due to other commitments, but completed it more quickly than we expected. We felt they'd saved a corner of our house from rotting, which is obviously a win for us. I would certainly use them again.

We only did a survey so far but that is impressively clear and comprehensive. I like that as well as giving solutions and costs for immediate issues, it also offers suggestions longer term fixes, and gives advice on how to avoid things like condensation. No one else I spoke to did that. Other companies gave a quote for the current problem and that was it. Avant Garde gave suggestions for how to avoid problems in the future as well. When I spoke to Ben on the phone he was friendly and clear and happy to explain things. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly recommend Avant Garde to anyone. From the survey to the remedial works themselves, Ben and his team were fantastic. The quotation was fair and, despite more than 18 months elapsing between quoting and carrying out the works, (due to logistical issues concerning a neighbour that were out of our control) they honoured the initial quotation and did not increase the price by a single penny. Jimmy, that carried out the works, was also lovely - and tidied up after himself at the end of each day. If you need damp-proofing works carried out, don't look any further than Avant Garde - 10/10!!

Avant Garde have worked with us on three separate occasions over the last years and on all three occasions did a good job, arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves and delivered as agreed and in line with the estimates. I also really appreciated Ben calling me every day if he was not on site to check in and make sure everything was as it should be.
