It started off well but didn’t end well as he walked out after only 3/4 finished . He complained I was being too fussy, however subsequent fitters I’ve had in to continue the kitchen have pointed out many flaws in his work. Integrated fridge compartment is not straight, cupboards have different gaps between each one or hung at different heights. Or the new dishwasher not having any plumbing added which has caused a lot of problems.
His son, the electrician, was actually very good and his work has been complimented by another electrician. It’s just a shame he didn’t finish the work either.
Response from Ash Construction
At the initial meeting with the client, it was agreed that the job would need to be completed within 10 days from the starting date. The client accepted these circumstances, however there was a delay of 3 Weeks in the delivery of the worktop requested to complete the kitchen. The inconvenience made it impossible for me to finish the job on time. Therefore, the client was not charged for the entire job, but only for 50% of the total final price. The client continued to make additional requests in order to delay the process, thinking that this situation would force me to be available also to fit the kitchen worktop, whenever it would have been delivered.
