    Absolutely amazing!

    Posted 21 March

We briefly described what needed to be done (holes in walls including radiator), through pictures, he could straight away identify the problem and gave us a price accordingly that needed to be fixed (he was honest and sincere, not a money grabber!). He fixed it with such care, he was meticulous to detail. I highly, very highly recommend him to anyone! What I loved about our communication, it was clear, and authentic...no fuss, just straight to the point to solve our problem, I truly appreciated this.

Harry helped us out very last minute, carried out the work quickly, was extremely tidy and pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend and we’ll be using him again for future projects.

Hello, I'm Harry, a premium handyman. I am polite, competent and reliable with skill sets applicable to all areas of your home or business - bathroom, kitchen, sitting room, garden, restaurant or office. Expect high quality workmanship, and the site left spotlessly clean. I am experienced with period properties and newbuild alike.

I specialise in:

  • Mounting (TV's, shelves, artwork, mirrors, etc.).
  • Decorating and repairs (utilising fast cure techniques and various spray equipment).
  • Custom furniture fabrication with 'live edge' solid wood (including resin river techniques).
  • Garden maintenance (all machinery is battery powered minimising noise and air pollution).
  • Kitchen and bathroom fitting.
  • Plumbing (excluding boilers).

I can also help you with:

  • Flooring.
  • Carpentry.
  • Door hanging.
  • Furniture assembly.
  • Decking.
  • Clearing.
  • And much more…

I own a large van, and a wide array of tools for the completion of tasks from 'first fix' through to a high-quality finish. My tools include dust extractors, ladders, drills, saws, joinery power tools, paint sprayers, precision hand tools, laser measurement/levelling aids, pressure washer and landscaping power tools. I pride myself on trustworthiness, excellent communication, precision, attention to detail, and work carried out as if your property is my own. I first developed my skills working on my home and those of friends and family. I now enjoy a good professional back-catalogue and reputation.

Recent projects have seen me redeveloping a single bed flat (rendered uninhabitable from water damage) into a premium two bed flat, saving a garden from rampaging bamboo, laying laminate flooring, repointing a brick patio, building a custom invisible service hatch into a lathe and lime plaster ceiling, brick laying, hanging valuable artwork, cutting down and removing trees, refitting and decorating a bathroom, fixing a 65” TV to a plasterboard wall, mounting floating shelves above a sofa, and fixing a toilet seat.

I funded my way through university as a removals man and driver at a premium company. For the last 25 years I've been touring the world as a sound engineer and running my own audio rental business (which was on hold during the pandemic, but now back up and running and trading well). Amica Home Services is a business born out of necessity during successive lockdowns, but I am passionate about the work and find it very rewarding. I am keen to promote sustainable materials and practices in all my projects, working carefully and efficiently to achieve an environmentally conscious, high-quality, long-lasting finish.

Across both businesses my motto is 'efficiency and consistency', and my reputation has been built on attention to detail and quality. I have loyal customer bases who often cite my trustworthiness, calm confidence and affability in reviews. I am a certified supplier at English Heritage and regularly work surrounded by priceless artefacts in London galleries and museums and other grade 1 listed buildings. I will bring this level of service to every job.

I look forward to hearing from you!
