  Internal door fitting, and decoration to doors and hallway

  Gav fitted (and painted) 7 internal doors, with handles, hinges etc, and then redecorated our hallway (ceiling and walls) to a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble, he was always prompt, did a full day, and we cant speak highly enough of him, as a tradesman, or as a person. After 7 days working in our house, we feel as if we've known him for years, and was more of a friend than a workman.There is a reason all of his reviews are 10/10, as he's very very good at what he does, and above all, he's just a brilliant bloke. Probably the best worker/tradesman, we've ever had in our house.

  Built in desk and shelves

  We needed a desk built into an alcove, a window sill and three sets of shelves. Gav did a great job. He talked everything through, checking in along the way on details. There was one slight issue, entirely due to a miscommunication on our part, which required a large shelf being removed once fitted, sawn down, the brackets shortened and then it being refitted to the wall. Gav handled the issue swiftly and cheerfully, and it all looks perfect. He was friendly, polite, punctual and we are so happy with the work. Would absolutely recommend and will use again for future work.

  Bedroom decorating & bathroom door - amazing job!

  We recently bought a house and needed a bedroom decorating and a bathroom door fitting. To make things more complicated I was 38 weeks pregnant, and actually went into labour a day before Gav was due to start work. Gav was amazing - not only was the decorating and door fitting to the highest standard, but he was so understanding of our situation and got everything done very quickly. We wouldn't go to anyone else now, and can't recommend Gav highly enough. Thanks so much!

  Built in Hall Unit

  This was Gavin's fifth job for us since 2015. He took our idea for a hall storage unit, which also included a shoe bench and coat rack, and built it. As built in furniture it looks like it is has always been part of the hall and it has completely matched our request. It was built to Gavin usual high standards. When we have an idea for our next carpentry project Gavin will be the first call.

  This is the 4 th time I have used Gavin from Alpha carpentry , so from that you can take it that I am very happy with the work. As usual he carried out the project exactly as I wanted.A Very reasonable price and super quick. I would highly recommend him for any project you have in mind. I have always found him to be tidy , polite and 100% trustworthy.

  Repairing windows & exterior painting of a 3 storey townhouse

  Gavin brought the house back to life. He did a great job repairing badly weatherd windows and the exterior painting, completing on time despite some adverse weather. I will be using his services again and can highly recommend to anyone else.
