  Built in cupboards and floating shelves

  Darren built and installed some cupboards and floating shelves in alcoves either side of a chimney breast. He was always responsive and helpful with design and questions around moving electrics (which we had an electrician to do separately but impacted the cupboards), he was easy to deal with and punctual. We agreed a date for installation, he built the cabinets prior and showed up to install. The installation took a day but the finish was exactly as hoped and I had had others quote multiple days (even weeks) for installation. I’d definitely recommend him.

  New spindles

  Needed to modernise the stairs, so we decided to renew the handrail and spindles. Darren and Andrew did a great job. The new handrail is solid and fits perfectly and the spindles look great. All done in 1 day for a reasonable price. I would use them again.

  General carpentry.

  Darren did an excellent job making and fitting three new cupboard doors in our hallway. Attention to detail. Very punctual, clean and tidy. Very pleased. Would thoroughly recommend.

  New doors transformed the place

  I can highly recommend Absolute Carpentry. Was brilliant from the start. Great communication and took care of all the details and provided advice on what was needed and post the job. Fitted new doors downstairs which now mean I have doors that don’t rattle. Very efficient service and everything was left clean afterwards. Looking forward to the next job he is booked in for.   Loft Hatch and Ladder

  Darren recently enlarged a loft hatch opening and installed a new hatch and drop down ladder. Darren discussed all options with me and the quote was competitive and detailed. On the day, the work was carried out quickly and everything around was covered and cleaned up afterwards. Great quality workmanship, highly recommended.

  Floor Levelling

  Our bedroom floor needed levelling, and Darren did a fantastic job. He was polite, professional, and punctual throughout. Darren clearly explained what needed to be done, how long the work would take, and was upfront about pricing and availability. He used dust sheets where necessary, and made sure to tidy up before he left. He also pointed out that some of our plaster was blown, taking the time to explain the issue and recommend getting a plasterer in, even though there was nothing in it for him. There may be a wait of a couple of weeks to get booked in, but it’s worth it. Thanks Darren!
