Never recommend this electrician. I feel I was ripped off. They take £165 before they come to the house. The job was not completed. Be careful, wait for a high quote and bill. The same job was completed for £30 by another electrician.

We’re sorry that you’re not happy with the work. I have a full complaints procedure in place, please email me. However, this particular job was an emergency service call due to no lights on 1st floor. An estimate was sent to the customer accepted and the initial time was paid for before the works had been booked. We publish our hourly rates on our website.
The wiring was tested and found to be defective, possibly due to rodents and neutral/earth conductors were touching. We could not leave the lights on knowing it’s dangerous, which was explained to the customer several times onsite and over the phone as it wasn’t to the required British Standard BS7671 and is against the code of conduct from NICEIC besides it is dangerous.
The customer then asked for quote to upgrade the electrical installation, which included a consumer unit replacement, upgrade of earthing and new circuits plus replacement of light fittings.
As for the other electrician at £30.00. We as a business are not prepared to leave any electrical installation in a potentially dangerous situation. Even though we know that the customer may not be happy with that, it is the right thing to do.
