  Disappointed.

  He came and surveyed the job requirement and made some good comments that encouraged us to place the job with him. He said he would come back with a price, but I had to chase him for the quote in writing/text, which he indicated would be by the end of the week. Didn't happen? I do wish contractors would say if they don't want the job. From my own engineering past, I'm fully aware that quoting doesn't always end in work, but it is courteous to inform the inquirer if you wish to decline. And that courtesy encourages future enquiries.
