  Laminate and vinyl flooring and subfloor repair

  Fixed £500. I supplied most materials. Fitter declined repeat asks for a site check. I sent a detailed video. Problems arose that a visit might prevented. Ran out of laminate due to high waste. I paid £100 extra for a return. The video showed the pattern, but high waste wasn’t flagged. Job included fixing subfloor, but it stayed unstable after adhesive. The laminate was lifted and padded with cardboard. Floor still not solid. Alternative was a big extra cost to screed. I’d pay if quoted upfront. Finish feels rushed in places with messy cuts, a squeak. Paid £600 cash. Insist on a site visit.
